The Irresistible Appeal of Office Supplies That Pop

The Irresistible Appeal of Office Supplies That Pop

I just spent 25 minutes looking at office supplies I really don't need. Poppin is a line of office supplies in every color of the rainbow. They look good enough to eat!

I’ve always been this way, obsessed with office supplies, and now that they come in a rainbow of colors I am even more smitten. Smitten enough to look. But not buy.

Why not? I don’t need any of it. I’ve got enough office supplies to last until I expire, much like writer James Collins, who grappled with his mortality while rummaging through his office supplies:

Nothing says mortality like the realization that you will live only long enough to use up 3.2 percent of your office supplies. (The older boxes each had about 4,500 staples, which makes a total of 13,850; if I lived 30 years and used 15 a year that would be 450, or 3.2 per cent.)

Still, I enjoyed looking at their folders and desk accessory sets. Someday perhaps when Tame Space needs an office of it's own somewhere outside of my apartment, I'll splurge on a matching teal set of scissors, tape and stapler.
